Show 21 Analysis This analysis will identify key differences that are affected by differing internal and external influences on each agency. Identification of these influences that contrast between the Salt Lake Department of Public Utilities and Jordan Valley Water Conservation District will explain their differences in approach. Additionally, analyzing the results of each program will reveal the influences on water conservation programs that lead to an agency meeting its own goals, a greater reduction in water consumption, which makes more efficient use of finances, and how effectively the message of water conservation reaches the public. In this analysis key differences that exist between the dependent variables within each agency will be used to identify and explore the independent variables that influence them. I identified three key distinctions between the water conservation programs of Salt Lake City Department of Public Utilities and Jordan Valley Water Conservation District: 1) The process each agency uses to develop and implement their water conservation program; 2) each agency's approach in its water conservation program - economic, regulatory, or educational; and 3) the long term goals of each program. Long term goals are the purposes of water conservation within each agency. Finally, the results of each program includes the ability of the agency to meet its own goals, the reduction in water consumption overall, the budget that each agency uses to achieve their goals, and public awareness of the programs and general water conservation purposes and practices.
