Show And a mosquito flew over us, an observation plane. W 1 am d thi lat r. nd he came flying back over us and he's wiggling his wings like they wer - Wh kn w what the hell what his wing wiggling means? Well what he was trying to tell us is that, "You've you got to get off of this hill ." Later what we found out was that there were 600 Chinese that were in a footrace with us up the hill while we were coming up this side. And we beat them by about, oh, three minutes. And the people that were up there - there were about forty of them already up there, their advanced party. That's who we were fighting first. And then when we got up there, God, there were Chinamen all over the place! There were so many of them ... So around this one little knoll, we had to take the top of this hill. We were sitting like this and the top was up here. We had to get to the top - so you can fire down (you can't fire up - you can, but they've got the top then). So I went around to the side and see what we could do up there and there was a pill box. It was empty. There was a brand new Lewis gun in it! That's a British machine gun that's got a magazine about that big around on the top. It shoots that way, it shoots around. You cock it from underneath and the bullets are - you can see them underneath - and it grabs on and it puts it in the chamber and then, every time you pull the trigger back, it will keep shooting. There was one there and it had two magazines with it, two round magazines. So I picked it up and took it out to the- there's a little crank to get into the pill box and I just set it up there.
