Since the publication of Gemminger and Harold's Catalogue numerous species of Eletica have been described by Kolbe, von Harold, Ancey, Peringuey, and Fahraeus ; but the present insect appears to be perfectly distinct from any of these. It may not be out of place to add here a list of the more recent and more important papers dealing with the Heteromerous fauna of Tropical Africa. These are entirely German :- 1.
