[Eeceived January 11, 1890.] At the suggestion of Mr. BoulengerJ I have, for the last two years, been investigating the life-history of the Clawed Aglossal Frog, Xenopus Icevis, Daud., which is common here at Port 1 [Mr. Leslie's observations on the oviposition of Xenopus Icevis fill up a desideratum of long standing. The development of Pipa being of an ultra-specialized type, we have to fall back on the only other geuus of Aglossa for information on this head.
