Show KIRKMAN RAY ALLEN LIVINGSTON Lewis Kirkman, Chairman Florence Ray JUNIOR PROM COMMITTEE Frances Rager Harry R. Allen Gene Livingston THE JUNIOR PROMENADE The twentieth annual Junior Promenade which took place February 20 at the Hotel Utah marked another signal success for the University of Utah, climaxing the season's social accomplishments in a fitting manner. The Prom came as a grand finale to a gradually increasing social atmosphere created at each succeeding act. Beginning with Monday of the Prom week, noon dances were enjoyed in the main hall of the John R. Park Building, which was fittingly decorated with palms and ferns. As the interest in the play became more intense, gradually preparing itself for the final curtain, the Greek letter social fraternities entertained the student body at open house parties. These functions were varied in manner and description, each one attempting to surpass the other in demonstrating their hospitality to all. The following afternoon, the sororities in a similar way entertained at open house. Both the fraternities and sororities offered dancing and light refreshments to the guests attending their house. The stage was now set for the final act. Being the most aristocratic and the most democratic event of the year, the Promenade was well attended. The decorations were elaborate. Each class prepared a booth, the general idea of these tending toward a Mother Goose picturiza-tion. Dancing was enjoyed in the main ball room, the green room and the roof garden. Supper was served in the dining room and grill at midnight. Each lady guest was presented with an ivory pocket comb set with brilliants and a leather case embossed with the University seal. The committee in charge of arrangements are to be congratulated on their splendid accomplishment. May we look forward to the future years with the assurance of the past, for still greater successes.
