The Brigham Young University started the season with the champion five of the previous year intact. The Aggies had a veteran lineup reinforced by two star freshmen. Twice the Crimson succeeded in downing the crack Provo quint, once on the visitor's own floor. Those who journeyed to the Utah county capitol that day will always remember and respect the men for the splendid exhibition of fight that carried them on to a two-point victory. However, the Aggies hooked us for three out four games and played havoc with our chances of tieing the Cougars for first place. Eight members of the team received the benefit and good time on the preseason trip that included in its itinerary, Greeley and Boulder, Colorado, and Laramie, Wyoming. This year the Frosh entered in competition with the three high schools, East, West and Ogden. Although beaten by the Salt Lake high schools, Ogden, who not only won the league but later copped the Greeley Intermountain interscholastic invitational tourney, was held to a one-point margin. Frank Jonas and Louis Peterson were graduated to the varsity team. The following made the freshman squad: Peterson, Gowans, Haymond, Rogerson, forwards; Woods and Dennis, centers; and Jonas, Birkbeck and Demman, guards. SCORES U. Frosh 22, East 41; U.
