Show freshman football The Frosh football squad was fortunate in having Mac Swan as their coach. When Colorado critics pick a Utah man on their mythical all-conference team, the position is well-earned. "Mac" received the distinction in 1922. The Greenling Squad from the class of '28 has answered well the requirements which any college places on its Freshman team. Not only has it chalked up for itself an eviable record in its clashes with other schools, but it has been a good means of training men to hold future positions on the Varsity Eleven. It has never failed to furnish active practice for the Crimson players, forcing them to continually work and fight their best. On October 31, Captain Paul Caffey led his team to a 7-6 victory over the Aggie underclassmen. B. Y. C. of Logan was no match for Utah in the next encounter and was snowed under, 53-0. The final game was a bitterly fought struggle with the Cougar kittens and ended in a 3-3 tie.
