S. U. U. dances of the year 1924-25 were featured by a tinge of old "Bohemia." Carnival dances with balloons, confetti, and noise-making instruments were given throughout the year. The 7-7 tie with the "Aggies," the victory in the Utah-Arizona football game and the close of the Union Building drive were all celebrated in this carnival style. Good music, decorations and a spirit of good-fellowship made the week-end dances of the old alma mater events to be remembered by every student. The committee, consisting of Sharp Daynes, chairman; Claire Marshall, Hugh Colton, and Irvin Jenkins arranged tactfully the student body dances and carried out a successful program. The Senior class gave a pleasing dance November 14 at the Forest Dale Country Club where the guests were entertained by fancy step dancing by a U. of U. student. The Juniors gave the student body a treat with a party at the Hotel Utah, November 8. The Sophomores gave their dance November 29 at the Commercial Club with balloons, caps, confetti and flood and spot lights. The Freshmen in a mysterious atmosphere of pumpkins, corn stalks, etc., gave the "Haunted Hop" November 1. The last of the A. S. U. U. dances was given on U. day at Saltair.
