Show Record to us at different times and different places. I believe that at times we found the channel in the same place. My last 2927 visit to the Colorado River was on August 26, 1926. From March until September when I was there we had high water during the summer and quite high water in June. I have been on the San Juan River in New Mexico, but not so much in Utah. I have been above Bluff on different occasions, but my work on the San Juan has been in New Mexico. I have been around Bluff enough so that I believe I could give you an idea of the San Juan River at that point. I was around Bluff during the summer of 1926 and I think also in 1921. I was not west of Bluff at all. The San Juan River flows east and west and I was practically 2928 north of Bluff. As I recall the San Juan River probably would have a discharge of four thousand feet at the time I saw it. I would hesitate to state how wide the river is at Bluff. Our company has a producing field at Shiprock, at a point ten miles from the San Juan River, where we use trucks for transportation. We drilled eight wells there and hauled our supplies from the railroad at Farmington, New Mexico. John B. Cleary testified on cross examination as follows; 2929 I commenced my survey of the wagon road on February 26 and completed it on March 3, 1926, during which period I remained with 2930 my transit man and two chainmen every day. We made this survey in order to get necessary information to prepare an estimate for the road in the event that we had a producing oil field. We had no other purpose in making that survey. Exhibit 461 doesn't delineate 2931 this survey. Exhibit 461 was made before the survey and is a recognizance. Exhibit 483 is also a different survey. Exhibits 464, 464 A and 464 B exemplify the same things shown on Exhibit 462, Exhibit 463 begins where Exhibit 462 leaves off and is a continuation of the road along the river. The words " Cleary's P line" appearing in parentheses on Exhibit 464, 464 A and 464 B 2932 mean Cleary's preliminary line. Before construction began it |
