Ute Agency Letter to Commissioner of Indian Affairs Writes that the Ute Mountain council visited him and said that the former chief had blamed Henry Williams, a medicine man, for his illness and impending death. The chief instructed the council to get rid of Williams. The council requested Williams be placed in a penitentiary a long distance away.
