Show Water - 728 Werner, Charles F., Supt., So. Ute Agency Letter to Commissioner of Indian Affairs Werner submits literature, photographs and map of the Florida Mesa Irrigation District. He includes also a report. ( Text is difficult to read) Apr. 11, 1912 Supt., So. Ute Agency Letter to Abbot, Acting Commissioner Werner discusses his plan to raise Ute Indians to self- supporting condition. In accordance with this objective, Werner stresses that irrigation systems in all allotments of Pine River and Spring Creek valleys should be completed and allottee concentrated and given irrigable tracts under these systems. Werner proposes that all tillable land in these valleys be placed under cultivation. Proximity to agency deemed important. Extensive discussion of these proposals included.
