FRCD/ RG 75 June 13, 1884 Stevens (?), E. L., Acting Commissioner of Indian Affairs Letter to Warren Patten, Indian Agent, So. Ute Agency, Colorado The acting commissioner informs Patten that the War Department reports indicate the Ute Indians are " off the reservation and are committing depredations in the neighborhood of Mitchells Ranche on the San Juan River, Utah." He advises Patten to take the necessary steps to keep the Indians on the reservation. FRCD/ RG 75 July 5, 1884 Patten, Indian Agent, So.
