Sept. 30, 1884 Teller, Secretary of the Interior Letter to Commissioner of Indian Affairs Gratuity money, a $ 4000 allotment from government according to Act of July 4, 1884, is to be still withheld from Utes until they conform with government expectations by farming and sending children to schools.
