The Utes are to be directed to Tierra Amarilla. Mar. 27, 1878 Leeds, Wm. M., Acting Commissioner Letter to Francis H. Weaver, Agent Notified again of actions taken by the Interior and War Department with the removal of Indians at Abiquiu and Cimarron. Agent is informed to take charge of Indians without any delay upon their arrival. Aug. 2, 18 78 Weaver, F. A., Agent, So. Ute Agency Letter to E. A. He also reports that it is difficult to obtain Copote and Weeminuche band census and that military officers have arrived for negotiation with Utes for their removal from this part of the Ute reservation.
