Agent, Navajo Springs Letter to Commissioner of Indian Affairs Investigation of depredations in San Juan County is underway. Indian population in that County is large and not all of them are enrolled anywhere, making jurisdiction over them questionable. Ute Agency Letter to Charles H. Dickson, Supervisor in Charge Smith advises that Indian horses, which are imprisoned by heavy snow, should not be killed by the State Humane Society.
