Ute Agency Three commissioners appointed to meet with Utes concerning consolidation of bands and extinguishment of reservation lands in Colorado want another meeting with the Indians. Feb. 7, 1879 Hayes, R. B., President Executive Order Executive order setting apart certain lands in the State of Colorado as a reservation for the Moache, Capote, and Weeminuche bands of the Ute Indians. ( text is difficult to read) 1880 Congressional Record 46th Congress, 2nd Session, Chap. 223 An act to accept and ratify the agreement submitted by the confederate bands of Ute Indians in Colorado, for the sale of their reservation in said State, and for other purposes, and to make the necessary appropriations for carrying out the same.
