Show Reservations - 605 June 26, 1878 (?), acting commissioner Letter to Francis H. Weaver, Indian Agent, Tierra Amarilla, N. M. Agent is informed of arrival of Ute negotiators, who will consolidate Ute bands into one agency and extinguish their rights to the southern portion of the reservation. Weaver is to make all the necessary preparations for the talks and to gather different Ute bands at the agency for negotiations. Ute Agency Three commissioners appointed to meet with Utes concerning consolidation of bands and extinguishment of reservation lands in Colorado want another meeting with the Indians. Feb. 7, 1879 Hayes, Rutherford B., President Executive Order Lands described are withdrawn from sale and settlement and set apart as a reservation for the Moache, Capote and Weeminachee bands of the Ute Indians.
