He sends a list of those Utes who recently went to Colorado Springs ( for the exhibition?). Nov- 9. 1906 Larrabee, C. F., Acting Commissioner of Indian Affairs Letter to Supt., So. Ute School Larrabee requests materials, such as school work, drawings, photographs, from pupils at the So. Ute School for the Jamestown Exhibition to be held April 27, 1907. Dec. 12, 1906 Leonard, Wm., Supt., So. Ute Agency Letter to James Pearce, Jewett, N. M. Leonard requests more information about the So. Ute land that the citizens of Jewett and Fruitland request be opened up for grazing and mining. Jan. 5, 1907 Leonard, Wm. D., Supt., So. Ute Agency Letter to Hon. B. F. Honx, Justice of Peace, Durango Two Southern Ute Indians on probation have been getting into trouble. Agent asks judge if one of these individuals can be placed in jail before he gets into serious trouble. Jan. 14, 1907 Werner, Charles S., Agent, So. Ute Agency Letter to John R. Bryce, Castelar, Colorado Individual is seeking heirs of deceased Indian to buy land, he is told agency cannot induce them to sell their land, but they will list these lands for sale upon the heirs' request. |
