Show Military Relations - 510 Stanley informs Patten that he has sent an officer and 24 men after the Utes and Navajo who are accused of murdering Peter Tracy. FRCD/ RG 75 Sept. 1, 1883 Stanley, Colonel Commanding, Fort Lewis, Colorado Telegram to Warren Patten, Indian Agent, Ignacio Stanley gives Patten more details on the murder of Peter Tracy. The Sore Leg, a Navajo, is accused of shooting Tracy. Stanley suggests that Ignacio should gather all the facts before any action is taken. A copy of telegram is attached. Infantry at Mitchell and the San Juan. He released 5 Indian prisoners to an Indian to be returned to the agency. " 4 other Indians 5 prisoners & 2 squaws arrested for carrying fire arms.
