OCR Text 107 AN ORDINANCE Pertaining to North Cottonwood Kangon PASBED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY JAN 15 1851 Sec Be it ordained by the Generql Assembly of the State of Deseret That Willard Richards have the ex-Gmnt clusive right of workingroad or roads into or through the North Cottonwood Kanyon and control the same Sec Be it further ordained that all contracts ang sepesl acts pertaining to the price of lumber and rates of toll as set forth in the petition and granted unto Willard Rich ards in 1849 per to NorthCoztonwood Kanyon hereby repealed Approved Jan 18th 1851 AN ORDINANCE To incorporate Ogden City PASSED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY Sec Be it ordained by the FEB 1851 General Assembly of the State of Deseret That all that district of Weber coun ty embraced in the following boundaries to wit -beginBoundaris ning at the base of the mountain due east of the present mill dam on Weber river and running due west to the south end of said mill dam thence continuing the same due west course topoint due south of the confluence of the Weber and Ogden rivers thence due north to the confluence of the said rivers topoint due west of the mouth of Ogden-hole kanyon thence east to the mouth of Ogden-hole kanyon thence insoutherly direction along the base of the mountain to the place of beginning shall be known and designated under the name and style Nameandatyle of Ogden City providing the said City Council shall have the jurisdiction over and control of the water and vontrol aaje timber adjacent upon said streams from the mouth of goat watera the Ogden and Weber river boundary of said city kanyons to the Western powSec The inhabitants of said city by the name and gorgorate style aforesaid shall have power to sue and be sued to er
