Description 41 place, or in some newspaper published in the city; and when a sufficient number of persons have subscribed, the persons named in the first section may call a meeting of the stock holders, by giving proper notice, to elect by ballot, a board of Directors, and .such o;her officers as may be deemed necessary, whose terni of office shall continue until their successors shall be elected, ar.d.such elections to be held at such.Limes or places as the by-laws of the company may determine; and Great Salt Luke City may in its corporate en purity,, subscribe for an'amount of the stock in Sivtd company, any sum not. exceeding one hundred thousand dollars. Sec. 5. .Any person or persons who may maliciously, MMi or intentionally, disturb, injure, or molest any pipe or other properly, belonging'to said company, ur obstruct the free passage of the water or use the water of said company, without its consent, stoall on conviction thereof, be fined in any sum not less thnn five nor more than five, hundred dollars, which amount m-ty be recovered before any Court having jurisdiction thereof wilhia this Territory. Be it> enarted by (he Governor find, Legislative Assembly uf Ike Territory of Utah, That all that district of country embraced in the following boundaries, toBoundarit wit; commencing at a point on the shore of:he Utah Lake due West from die center of the Public fcquireof Pay- Name. son situated on lAneetneet Creek in Utah Coaui.y, thence South one mile, thence East to the mouuta u. tiu.nce North two miles, thence We»t to the Lake aforesaid, thence South to the place of beginning:-shall be known and designated a* Payson; and the inhabitants thereof, are hereby constituted a body corpora.it! and politic, by the name aforesaid, and shall have perpetual .Au'Ccs.sion, and may have, and u:-e-a common seal, which they may change and after at pleasure
