To (he Honorable, the Senate and House of Rcjiresentatives of the'United States in Congress Assembled: Your memorialists, the Governor and Legislative Assembly of the Territory of Utah, solicit your honorable body to appoint a United States Mail Agenny for the Territory of Utah, to establish Post Offices, and locate Mail Routes, for the general benefit and convenience of the inhabitants of our extensive settlements. The early attention and favorable consideration of Congress to. this subject is respectfully requested, and your memorialists, as in duty bound will ever pray. Approved Jan. 21st, 1853.
