All my specimens are of this race ; but I have seen the true T. minuta, in summer plumage, from Lake Baikal. Mr. Gould reports its breeding in Australia (Hand-b. B. of Austr. ii. p. 258) ! 567. Received also from Trans-Baikal, so that it probably goes south to India, and will be the N. arcuatulus, Hodgs., of Nepal, Schlegel has it from Amboina (Mus. des Pays-Bas), and Gould from New South Wales.
