One-half of the cost of aoaling shall be paid by k i d Cushway & Co. and the other hal fal~s lbl e paid from the proceeds of tlie sale of the timber. 7. Aftsr ddencting one-half of the scaling and other neeesxarp expenses charge-able a:aiast the same, the proceeds of timber sold from the undlotted portions of the reaervatiou shall be paid to the Indian agent, to be expended for the relief and benefit of the Indians of the reservation, nnder the direction of the Commissioner of Indian Affairs; and the proceetls of timber taken frorn the allotted lands of the reservation shall, after the decluotions above atnted, be deposited in some national bank aubjeot to chock of the Indian owner of the allotment, eountersi,med by the Indian Agent for the Ln Pointe Agency, nniesa otlxerwise stipulated in oontrsota with partieullar Indians. 8.
