Show ing, respectively, the Jfi~Zland Paci$c Railroad Company a right of way through the Crow Creek Reservation ; the Watertown, Siozm City and Dzclz~tk Railway Comngany a right of way through the Sisseton and Wallpeton Reservation; and grantiilg to the Cl~icagoi,l lilwazclcee and Srt. Paul Railvoad Company an extension of time within which said com-pany might construct its road through the Great Sioux Reservation, under t.he provisions of section 16 of chapter 405 of an act of Congress approved March 2, 1889. IXDIAN A l D OI<LAHOJIA TERRITORIES CA.ico,go, Rock Island and Pacific Railway Comnpamy-Under date of Jannary 2, 1893, the company forwarded amended maps of definite 1ocat;ion of the seventh, eighth, and ninth 25-mile sections of the road throngh the Chickasaw Nation to correct an error in the former maps. The original maps of these sections had been approved, as shown by the last annual report, on February 19,1892. The amended maps were approved by the Secretary of the Interior on January 23,1893. On Man:h 3,1893, the approval of these maps was amended (for reasons shown therein). The company, under date of April 21,1893, filed four maprl of station grounds desired by it in the Cherokee Outlet. These mapfa were approved by the Secretary of the Interior on July 20, 1893. The company also, June 29, 1893, forwarded for approval eight addi-tionad maps showing location of statiou grounds desired by it in the Chickasaw Nation. These maps were approved by the Secretary of the Interior on July 12, 1893. August 10, 1893, the company tendered drafts for $2,074.20 in payment of annual tax of $15 per mile on that portion of the road passing through Indian lands for the fiscal year ending June 30,1893. Clhoctaur Coal and Railway Company.-The company l ~ a fsil ed reports of auiount of coal mined monthly in the Choct,aw Nation, in accordance with the provisions of the act of Congress approved October 1,1890 (26 Stats., 640). September 11, 1593, the company tendered a draft for $1,005 in payment of the annual tax of $15 per mile on that portion of tl,e road passing through Indian lands for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1893. De~hison?m~cd Northwn Railway Company.-As mentioned in the last annual report, this company mas granted a right of way through the Indian Territory by act of Oollgress approved July 30, 1892 (27 Seats., 336). No maps of definite location of the line of the road have, how-ever, been filed for approval. Ha:tohinson and Southern Railroad Contpang.-The last annual report shows that the act of Congress originally granting the company a right of wa,y through the Indian Territory, the act approved September 26, 1890 (2G Stats., 485), mas amended and modified by the act approved |
