The Annual Christmas Party, held De cember 14, was attended by a large group of Club members and guests. Besides a program of Christmas stories and musical numbers. "Christmas Cus toms in Chili" was given by a Chilean woman. Cedar City is sponsoring a homemade candy sale on the 21 st. .... .... .... .... Betty Jean Poglaxin writes from EAST CARBON that her club is pro gressing very well in its first year of active club work. An International Relations Night was held, at which a talk was presented on "Japan and Her People." A tea highlighted the evening, and the East Carbon Club was presented with a gavel from mem bers of Price, the sponsoring Club. East Carbon Club boasts five new mem bers who were initiated November 18. An impressive Emblem pageant and Initiation ceremony were held. At the Christmas party, each member brought a gift which was given to some needy child in the community. .... .... .... LuCeil McFarlin of the ENSIGN Salt Lake City Club reports that an other turkey was raffled at the Christ mas party and proceeds were added to the fund by a previous raffle in November for the Rheumatic Fever Fund. Following dinner, Club member Maude Howard demonstrated how to arrange "Holiday flowers into those civic worker in the winners from Radio Station K.D. A.L. over Queen of America contest. The announcement came as a result of a fifty word letter submitted by the Helper BPW Club explaining Mrs. Wahl's activities. The three other wo men named from this dfstrict were from Price, Roosevelt, and Castle Dale. From contestants from radio stations all over the nation, five will be .... .... selected they to go will be the final to Hollywood av.:arded where J?any pr.izes and winner WIll be gIven the opportunity of touring Europe. The four winners from this area will also be awarded some prizes. OGDEN'S News Chairman, Orpha Mills, reports that in conjunction with the regular business meeting Novem ber 29, a white elephant auction was held at the Dee Hospital Nurses Home. .... The funds will go to the Ogden Club Project, "On to California". Margaret Stewart was the life of the party with her witty auctioneering. The turkey dinner, prepared by the committee in charge, was served to 72 members and guests at the Christmas party, Decem ber 10. After games and community singing, Santa Claus, played by Mrs. Anne Todd Starkey, delivered the gifts from under the Christmas tree .... .. Marion Jarvis, Chairman of the News Service from PROVO, reports that her Club has been active during the past month. During the last week in No vember, the annual Charity party was held to raise funds for donations to the various charities. The December meet ing featured talks by several foreign students of the B. Y. U. on the subject of "Better World Neighbors." Each member brought gifts of food mater ials to send to two exchange teachers from England who attended BPW meetings while in Provo.
