Public Relations OT are attempting to perfect such an organization in their communities. Where these councils have been organized the clubs cooperating with agencies City Cleanup campaigns, Community Study Groups are in on such activities Current other as Economic and Research All material and suggestions sup plied for the assistance of the local Research committees, was duly dis tributed, and the attention of each chairman was directed to the articles appearing in the Independent Wom an, covering the activities of this committee. indi Reports from the local clubs cate that the continuing study of the Ten Year Objective, was maintained throughout the year; and the subject of discrimination against women was under discussion at different times. The reports seemed to indicate that the fierce competition between men and women in the matter of securing employment, during the early days of the "Depression," has abated, and a more equable situation is now ap parent. The clubs of the Utah Federation of Business and Professional Women seem to be on their toes as far as Public Relations are concerned. Of the reports received to date, all clubs report 100 per cent on the Public Relations unit of the Efficiency Standard. Many of the clubs have either organized Citizen's Councils or Civic Committees, 15 Social problems, building programs for pub lic auditoriums and open air amp hi of school theatres, landscaping In grounds and public parks, etc. communities where there are no such councils, the clubs are also doing a splendid piece of community service in such activities as sponsoring recre ational centers, assisting underprivi leged youth and cooperating with clubs in the state have a index of their members, kept up to date, and supplied to the chairman of the Annual State Bul All the vocational letin each year.
