Show FORWARD TOGETHER 10 History Publications Grace Boyle, State Historian Hazel M. Peterson 2nd Vice President Ten clubs of the Federation sent in reports on publications: Beaver, Brigham City, Coalville, Log.an, Nephi, Panguitch, Roosevelt, Price, Salt Lake City and Sugarhouse. From the reports, it would seem that all of the committees of these clubs have used the Program issue of Independent Woman rather con sistently during the year. The In dependent Woman monthly and the Program Kit have been used by most Program Coordination committees as the basic material for club programs. The "Legisla"Vocational ,tive Kit," Kit," "Health Kit," "Expanding and Strengthening Membership," have been used by the respective com mittees for which these publica tions were issued to only a limited extent-only one third of the clubs reported having used them. Not any of the clubs reporting used the "International Subscription Service." Since most of the clubs in the State do not have a Publications Committee it is quite possible that more Federation Publi cations have been used than have been reported. If this is not the case, then it is very evident that our Utah Clubs are not making use of available resources to help them plan for the year's work. Considering the few clubs which do not have a Publications Com mittee and also the very minor part such a committee plays in any clubs total program, it is my recommendation that this commit tee be eliminated and that a list of made Federation publications be available by Club officers to all club committees and that each many' pu committee be urged to use these Iications in order to make the club s members. program more vital to all Mrs. Blanche Pittman, former Historian, turned over to our Fed. eration a set of well organized rna. terial, which I have tried to keep up.
