The members of all the clubs in the basin are very emthusiastic and feel that they win enjoy substantial benef its by reason of the-ir affiliation with the B. P. Central District The Central District conference WCliS held in Salt Lake City Sunday, October 17, at the Newhouse hotel. Luncheon was served at 1 p. m., fol lowed by the program. There were sixty-two. members pre,sein Coalville, f?urteen; J'_ooele, sixteen; Park City, five: Salt Lake, twenty-five; Mrs. Brown from Logan, and Mrs. Larsen from Provo, state officers. Mirs,. Winifr,ed P. RaUs, president of the SaH Lake club, gave the address 'Of welcome. Mdss Atke L. Manning talked to UlS about "Your Town's Business", giving us rnuch to think about and investigate. Each of the three visiting presidents gave a short talk about their town, telling us about ,tihei_r town's outstanding industry, and during the program musical numbers were given by the clubs, The spirit of good-fellowship and snterest In our clubs amd their civic work was voiced by each member . present, President Almeda P. Mrs, Almeda Perry Brown of Lo gan, president of the Utah Federation of Business and Professional Woo men's clubs, was a special guest .on this occasion, She gave an interestng talk 'On the National convenilon which was held in Atlantic City, N. J., Mrs. Maud Neely Leaver OJ Salt Lake City, state program chairman, outlined the program of the Utah clubs for the ensuing year. Short talks were given by Mrs. Chestina Larsen, Mrs. Anne R. Price, first amd second vice presidents, respectively, of the state organization, and Miss Alta Thurber of Richfield. Music was fu.rn· ished by Mil'S. Alice Crapo and Miss Deliene Jensen.
