Please senrl your comments to me at the address above. I will need to receive your comments hefore the Review Committee meets. The r.ommittee will meet on June 3, 1981 at 2:00 p.m. in the Denver and Rio Grande Depot, 300 Rio Grande, Salt lake City. You are cordially invited to attend and, if you wish, comment to the committee on the nomination. A staff member will show slides of your property and briefly describe its historical c:ignificance. Committee memhers will have received and studied the full nomination hefore the meeting. The Review Committee's action is the most illport ant step in placing your property on the'Nationa1 Register and we hope that you will be able to attend. The r.ommittee's decision, however, will not be affected in. any way if you are unable to attend. I will be happy to forward to the committee any written comments you may wish to send. The 1980 Heritage Bill, signed by President Carter in Oecemher, enacted new owner consent stipulations for National Register listings. Under present gu i delines if an owner objects to listing of his property then it will not he l i sted on the National Register of Historic Places. Until the National Pegister Office has approven requ 1 ations for ohtaining owner consent, the Washinqton Office will not accept National Re9ister nominations.
