Many of this type of house were built of stone . and adobe-, It is thought by locals that William Ford built the:house and had a blacksmith shop just to the west. : 1870 deed to Samuel B. Frost Jr. In 1877 a William Ford buys the lot for one-hundred dollars. Ford probably built the house soon after this date. Ford was married, but had no family. He was -a blacksmith and his shop was located on this lot. About 1920, Edward Sahlburg lived, here, and William FOrd moved to block 55 lot' *+. |
