Ailred Building Materials: Log___________Building Type/Style: Vernacular Description of physical appearance & significant architectural features: ____ (Include additions, alterations, ancillary structures, and landscaping if applicable) This log barn conforms to the "central hay crib with flanking stables"; type found abundantly in Spring City and throughout Sanpete County. Both the log crib and the side stable are log. The notching is a rather rough "V" type cut with the logs extending beyond the notch. No chinking is found in the central crib but the stable has been closed in with mud and board infilling between the logs. The main door is in the stable. Hay was transferred to the crib via the open gable ty block and tackle and "Jackson Fork."
