' - ' . This large rock home is an "I" house 'type with lean-to rear. The floor plan is hall and parlor type and the facade piercing is unusual in its placement of four second story openings over the five lower windows and door. Simple pedimented window heads and classic portico reflect Greek, Revival Stylistic considerations. A spring is located in the stone basement. Hyde stayed first in Manti then moved to . Spring City in late 1860 f s when this large stone house was constructed. The actual building date was after April 25,1863, for on that day Hyde was visited in Ms "log house" by Brigham Young and a party from Salt Lake City. Hyde served as President of the Sanpete Stake until his death in 1878.
