Show Record Ernest B. Hyde testified on redirect examination as follows: The name of the oil company is Bluff Oil Company and 1703 it holds a permit. My permit is a consolidated permit, the land included in the consolidated permit being scattered around in different places over the field and it is held by the Bluff Oil Company. There are quite a number of stockholders beside my brother and myself. Ernest B. Hyde testified on recross examination as follow: 1704 The permit is a United States permit and the land covered by the permit extends into two different townships and lies near Mexican Hat; it extends north and west from there, lying near the river but not in the river bed, although one corner possibly extends into the bed of the canyon. Owen R. Clark testified for complainant on direct examination as follow: 1706 I am 45 years old and most of my experience has been in the Navy and around water. When in the Navy my work was with 1707 motor boats, engines and boilers. I have operated motor boats, have repaired them, and am a mechanic. I have lived at Lee's Ferry since August, 1922. Three families and I reside there. I made a trip between Green River, Utah, and the Hermit trail in the Grand Canyon, Arizona. Hermit trail is about ten miles below Bright Angel. I am Recorder for the U. S. Geological Survey. On my river trip I left Green River, Utah, on November 10, 1927. 1708 Mr. Lawey was in charge of the party and there were eight other persons on the expedition, which was for the purpose of taking moving pictures. I was a boatman. We had six boats of the Colorado River type, four of them were 18 feet long, with 5 feet beam, covered over water- tight fore and aft, with an open pit in the center for the oarsman.
