PB: And they used to say, you better go to America. PN: Was your friend working for the railroad here? PB: Yes. PN: Was he working with the Southern Pacific or the U.P.? PB: I don't know, I don't know the company he was working, but he was working for the railroad, and they have gone back to Mexico, this is my friend, and I started talking, you know, and he said, why don't you go? . I told him, well, I don't know. PN: You were a little bit reluctant at first? PB: Yes, the first time, he started asking again, well, I told him, well, okay. PN: So, what finally made you decide to come here? PB: Well, I come over here to see ••• I told the men I was going to stay here for six months. PN: Oh ••• you were going to stay here for awhile and then go back. PB: Yes, I was going to stay here for awhile, and then I figure I go back again. PN: Well, what year did you come here then, what year did you come to the United States? PB: 1920. PN: 1920, and where did you go? |
