Show INTERVIEW: Garcia Page 21 RG: Then? I don't know. I guess he was, he wasn't too old, maybe in his late twenties or something like that. GC: And how about Major Salas? RG: Oh, he was ... I think he needed a few more years to make his twenty years in, so he was in his late thirties or early forties, something like that. He graduated from Annapolis, in fact, he was born and raised in •.. he was born in Colorado and raised in Carbon County. GC: Did you know any of his family? RG: Oh, yeah, I know his mother and his brothers and his father, yeah, I know them all. GC: Do you know what his brother's name would be? RG: Well, he's got a brother named Alphonso that's an accountant and I think he's in Albuquerque but I'm not sure. And he has another brother that, I think he's a Ph.D. and he's working at Hill Field, I think, and he has another brother that's a miner up there in Carbon County. And I think his dad's retired now, I guess. He has a sister, too, and she's pretty active in church up there, you know, Altar Society and stuff like that. Other than that, she doesn't do too much. GC: Do you intend to keep working for the Post Office for your twenty years or your thirty years? RG: Well, I have to go for my twenty already because I got my |
