I was the only white guy present and what they were complain­ing about was the fact that the Adolph Coors Company hadn't hired any 'Hexicans to work for them, you know. So they were going to protest; they weren't going to drink any Coors beer. Well, I happened to speak up at the time, and I says, "\.Vell hell," and this is a pure fact, I did apply for a job there once when I was working in, near Golden, Colorado, and they didn't hire me either, see, and I told them, I says, "Well hell," I says, "I'm not a Mexican, and I love Coors beer, but they didn't hire me either, but that doesn't mean I'm going to quit drinking their damn beer." VE: If looks could have killed, you would have been knocked off that chair about fifteen times, too. It's always good to have an opposition somewhere, though, you know.
