He hauled his goods for the store form Farmington and Callus, New Mexico. R. 1658. The time he saw the San Juan River dry was in 1900 or 1901 at Farmington, New Mexico. He had simply come in to get goods and crossed the river, " it was just as dry as any port of the road." R. 1659. He ran this store for three years and then sold out and bought one at Two Cray Hills, that is located about sixty miles from Farmington on the reservation, and after he bought this last store generally went to Gallup for his supplies. R. 1659- 1660. Redirect Examination: ( R. Vol. 9, pp. 1660.) During all the time that he operated a trading store, he never brought any supplies in on the river; would just use the river to ferry the wagon and team across; most of the time they forded it.
