Mr. Dellenbaugh, starting in with your earliest connection with that, just please tell me your experience on the Colorado river and the tributarice of the Colorado River. R. 1515. Be joined the Major Powell Expedition as topographer in 1871 on exploration and topographical survey work, stating at the Union Pacific Railroad Bridge [ Green River] and it took the expedition seven months time to descend the Green and Colorado Rivers to Lee's Ferry, Arizona. During the water of 1671 and 1873 he was occupied in making topographical surveys through the country adjacent to the Colorado River, and in August 1872, the expedition again started down the Colorado River at the head of Marble Gorge of the Greed Canyon and descended the Colorado River to the mouth of Kanah Canyon, at which point the party left the river and continued with topographical and geodetic surveys on lend during December, 1872, and January, 1873. lets out the first map of the region north of the Grand Canyon in Northern arson and Southern Utah.
