(Harch 15, 1956) D-10 (b) Arizona amends its answer to this question to read as follows: These claims, insofar as data is presently available, are as follows: Notice of appropriation for the lands situate within the Valley Division of the Yuma Project of one million miners inches of water filed October 24, 1890, by E. M. Sanford. The Act of January 20, 1893, (U. S. Stat. at Large, Vol. 27, P. 420) granted a ditch right of way across the Yuma Indian Reservation. On July 8, 1905, J. B. Lippincott, Supervising Engineer of the Geological Survey, upon the authorization of the Secretary of the Interior for and on behalf of the United States, under provisions of the Act of Congress approved June 17, 1902 (32 Stat. 388) initiated a stream flow right from the main stream of the Colorado River of a flow of water of 3*000 cubic feet per second.
