Show 6 t If during the period of amortization the Secretary of 2 the Interior shall receive revenues in excess of the amount 3 necessary to meet the periodical payments to the United 4 States as provided in the contract, or contracts, executed 5 under this Act, then, immediately after the settlement of 6 such periodical payments, he shall pay to the State of 7 Arizona 18$ per centum of such excess revenues and to the 8 State of Nevada 18£ per centum of such excess revenues. 9 Sec. 5. That the Secretary of the Interior is hereby 10 authorized, under such general regulations as he may pre-11 scribe, to contract for the storage of water in said reservoir 12 and for the delivery thereof at such points on the river and 13 on said canal as may be agreed upon, for irrigation and 11 domestic uses, and generation of electrical energy and 15 delivery at the switchboard to States, municipal corpora- 16 tions, political subdivisions, and private corporations of 17 electrical energy generated at said dam, upon charges that IS will provide revenue which, in addition to other revenue 19 accruing under the reclamation law and under this Act, will 20 in his judgment cover all expenses of operation and main- 21 tenance incurred by the United States on account of works 22 constructed under this Act and the payments to the United 23 States under subdivision (b) of section 4.
