Show D-10 (b) (Cont'd.): mining site In Lagune Mining District in Yuma County, Arizona Territory. Notice dated January 18, 1902 and recorded January 20, 1902 in Book 4 of Miscellaneous Instruments, page 7* by J. M. Thacker, President and S. J. Littlefield, Secretary of Colorado Valley and Pumping and Irrigation Company, appropriating 100,000 miners inches of Colorado River water to be diverted from stream at Quartermasters Reservation where pumping station is located to irrigate lands lying south and west of the Town of Yuma. Notice dated May 1, 1902 and recorded May 3, 1902 in Book 4 of Miscellaneous Instruments, page 130, by Dan Van Waganen for 250,000 inches measured under 4 inch pressure from the Colorado River for irrigation of lands situated in township 22, 23, and 24 West, Range 1 North, and Townships 1, 2, 3 and 4 South, covering 9,600 acres. Notice dated April 23, 1902 and recorded April 24, 1902 in Book 4, page 143 of Miscellaneous Instruments, by John M. Speese, appropriator and witnessed by Henry H. McPhaul for unappropriated waters flowing in the Colorado River, 500,000 miners inches for irrigation and outer beneficial uses, and construction of canals to run southerly. Place of diversion is known as Stevens Island about two miles southwesterly from Castle Dome Landing on the Colorado River. Said canal to run to Mexican line. |
