Show D-10 (b) (Cont'd.): Company, a corporation, appropriate 30,000 miners inches of water from the Colorado River to be taken for irrigation of lands in Yuma Valley, said diversion point of canal to be near City of Yuma and run southwesterly to boundary line between United States and Republic of Mexico. Notice dated February 26, 1900 and recorded February 26, 1900 in Book 3 of Miscellaneous Records, page 424 by Sam Mustain, President, Eureka Canal Company, a corporation, appropriate 50,000 miners inches to be taken from Colorado River at a point in Section 5, Township 9 South, Range 24 West, G & SRM, Yuma County, Arizona Territory, at which point a copy of this notice is posted. To construction and maintain a dam in Section 16, 21, 22 and 28 in about described townships and construct and maintain canals from the point of diversion in a southerly and southwesterly direction to the line of Mexico for irrigation purposes. Notice dated April 22, 1901 and recorded April 23* 1901 in Book 3 of Miscellaneous Records, page 541 by John M. Speese, Mulford Winsor, Henry W. McPhaul, W. E. Marvin for 40,000 miners inches of water to be taken from Colorado River at a point known as Cocopah point about 1 and one half miles above the river from Gate's Landing on said river being the point where this notice is posted. A canal will be constructed to irrigate lands lying near the Colorado River and in a southeasterly direction from this point. |
