Adult:- Head, neck, entire lower parts, and terminal one- third to one- half the tail continuous pure white; upper parts ( except head and neck), including basal half or two- thirds of the tail, dark plumbeous or plumbeous- black; scapulars, secondaries, and inner primaries tipped with white; dorsal feathers transversely variegated with white beneath the surface: inner webs of primaries and rectrices pale ashy or white, transversely barred with darker.
