Show Local Health District Key Health Indicators Tri-county Health Department Compiled by Erin Maughan and Sally Burns Counties: Daggett, Duchesne, Uintah Population Size: : 40,516 Area: 5,951 square miles square miles The Tri-County Health Department (THD) is the tenth largest health department in Utah by population, and the 6slxth largest in terms of area covered. The health indicators listed for the year 2001 show that (THD) averages are more favorable than the overall state averages for immunizations. However, all other indicators are less favorable than state statistics, including tobacco use, which was the highest in the state in 2001; making this rural area one of the least healthy places in Utah.
