shall be included within and shall in no way increase the total quantity of water to the use of which the State of California is entitled and limited by the said compact, treaty and statutes. 6. No member of or delegate to Congress, or resident commissioner, shall be admitted to any share or part of this contract, or to any benefit that may arise therefrom; but this provision shall not be construed to extend to this contract if made with a corporation for its general benefit. 7. Each Contractor warrants that no person or selling agency has been employed or retained to solicit or secure this contract upon any agreement or understanding for a commission, percentage, brokerage, or contingent fee, excepting bona fide established commercial or selling agencies maintained by each Contractor for the purpose of securing business. For breach or violation of this warranty the Government shall have the right to annul this contract without liability or in its discretion to deduct from the contract price or consideration the full amount of such commission, percentage, brokerage, or contingent fee. 8. No claim under this contract shall be assigned without the written consent of the Contracting Officer. 9. In connection with the performance of work under this contract, each Contractor agrees not to employ any person undergoing sentence of imprisonment at hard labor. 10. In connection with the performance of work under this contract, each Contractor agrees not to discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, creed, color, or national origin; and further agrees to insert the foregoing provision in all subcontracts here-under except subcontracts for standard commercial supplies or for raw materials.
