Show -2- Supplemental Agreement No. 5 to Contract NOy-13300 Between the United States of America and the San Diego County Water Authority, Pertaining to Operation and Maintenance of Completed Sections of Second Barrel Prior to Final Delivery Under Supplemental Agreement No. 4. This Supplemental Agreement No. 5, entered into as of the 14th day of January, 1954, between the United States of America, (hereinafter called the "Government"), represented by the Chief of the Bureau of Yards and Docks, Navy Department, and the San Diego County Water Authority, a public corporation organized and existing under and by virtue of the laws of the State of California, (hereinafter called the "Authority"), WlTNESSETH : (1) Whereas, pursuant to Contract NOy-13300, dated October 17, 1945, and agreements supplemental thereto between the Government and the Authority, as assignee of The City of San Diego, the Authority is in possession as lessee and is operating and maintaining the Aqueduct (hereinafter called the "Aqueduct") constructed by the Government from a connection with the Colorado River Aqueduct of The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California near the West Portal of the San Jacinto Tunnel in Riverside County to the San Vicente Reservoir in San Diego County; and (2) Whereas, pursuant to said agreement the Authority has arranged with The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California for the operation and maintenance by said Metropolitan Water District of the northerly portion of said Aqueduct, being the section northerly |
