Admitted: July 5, 1957 Agreement This Agreement, made this 29th day of September, 1952, between The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, a public corporation of the State of California (hereinafter referred to as the "District") and San Diego County Water Authority, a public corporation of the State of California (hereinafter referred to as the "Authority"), WlTNESSETH : Whereas, the United States of America (hereinafter referred to as the "Government") and the City of San Diego on October 17, 1945, entered into Contract NOy-13300, wherein the Government undertook to construct and the City undertook to lease, operate and maintain an aqueduct (hereinafter referred to as the "Aqueduct") from a connection with the Colorado River Aqueduct of the District near the west portal of the San Jacinto Tunnel in Riverside County, California, to San Vicente Reservoir in San Diego County, California; and Whereas, by Supplemental Agreement No. 1 to Contract NOy-13300, dated September 23, 1946, the Authority became the assignee in part of the City's rights and obligations under Contract NOy-13300; and Whereas, by Supplemental Agreement No. 2 to Contract NOy-13300, said contract was modified to reserve title to certain transition and diversion structures in the District; and |
