Parker Dam Cooperative Contract: United States and Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, February 10, 1933. See California Answer, Appendix No. 22, p. 316, Wilbur & Ely, Hoover Dam Documents, H. Doc. No. 717, 80th Cong., 2d Sess., Appendix No. 1201, (2d Ed. 1948). Pre-Trial Order Item 104, p. 48. This contract provides: (a) That United States shall build and operate Parker Dam and incidental works under the Reclamation Act of April 21, 1904 (33 Stat. 224); (b) United States shall retain title to Parker Dam and control of all water passing the Dam; (c) United States shall retain one-half of the power privilege, and the right to divert water from Lake Havasu for the Colorado River Indian Reservation and reclamation projects; (d) That the M.W.D. shall provide all funds for the construction of Parker Dam and incidental works, without reimbursement; (e) That the M.W.D. shall receive one-half of the power privilege for the sole purpose of pumping water into and in the Colorado River Aqueduct, |
