The manner of membership grades of the Academy, and provisions concerning fees, shall be incorporated in the ByLaws of the Academy in the regular manner. : . . '. "'. ARTICLE IV Section 1. Executive Officers. The Executive Officers of the Academy shall consist of President, Vice-President, Secretary, Archivist and Executive Council. Section 2. Executive Council The Executive Council shall consist- of the immediate Past President, the President, Vice-Pres ident, the Secretary and the Chairman of each of the Divisions. Section 3. Election of Officers. An Officer shall be elec ted by ballot each year at the Annual Meeting from membership. This officer shall serve each year as Vice-President, one year as President and one year as advisory member of the Executive Council in that order. The Secretary shall be elected by the Council for a term of five years. Each chairman of the four divisions shall serve a term of two years in the Executive Council; Two members to be elected each year. Section 4. Vacancies. In the event of a vacancy in the office of President, the Vice-President shall assume the Presiden tial duties. Other vacancies may be filled by the Executive Coun cil. 'Section 5. Transition. Upon approval of these amend ments, the council shall forthwith provide ways and means of - putting them into effect so after the first. election, the newly elected members may take office and replace such members as may be necessary, provided that on the first election, two of the Division Chairman shall be elected for one year only, and there shall be retained as holdovers a President, Past President, and Secretary. ARTICLE V Section 1. Duties of Officers and the Council. Officers shall perform duties usually pertaining to their respective offices or duties set forth by the Council and approved by a majority of members present at a regular business meeting of the Academy.
